After starting a quiz, I encountered an error and am now unable to take the quiz

If, at any time during a quiz, you click into another part of the web site or otherwise leave the quiz your session will end and you will be unable to finish or take the quiz again. It is important that when you start a quiz you do not perform any other actions with your computer other than answer the questions until the quiz has ended.

Occasionally the web site may "lock up or freeze", becoming unresponsive in the middle of the quiz. Unfortunately this will result in the termination of your quiz session. Due to the nature of the Internet, your web browser's connection to the Sploofus computers is passed through dozens of routers and switches that are beyond the control of you, your ISP, or Sploofus. This is true for any web site that you may connect to. For that reason, it is impossible to differentiate an issue with your computer, your ISP, the Internet, or the Sploofus network, meaning that at this time there is no automated way to remedy this particular issue.

If the problem is persistent, then you may need to upgrade your Internet connection or web browser. The Sploofus web site utilizes advanced technologies on both the client (your web browser) and the server (the Sploofus computers). On the client side, these technologies include asynchronous JavaScript and XML processing. While time delays, also known as lag or network latency, are typically attributed to the network they can also be caused by client-side browser and resource issues.

To be sure that your computer is not the culprit, ensure that you are using the most recent version of your web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari). Verify that your web browser has scripting/JavaScript fully enabled, and that it is accepting cookies from

For optimum performance and to properly enjoy all Sploofus features, the Firefox web browser is HIGHLY recommended. It is also to your advantage if your computer has at least 512MB of RAM, 800 MHz CPU, Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.3.5, and a broadband Internet connection.
