10 Great Places to Go Nude on Vacation this Summer

I did not know this but apparently, nudist vacation spots are more common than we all thought. According to one poll, 40 million Americans have skinny-dipped in mixed company. Gosh, I can vote myself amongst that bunch. One time the crew and cast of a film I was on commandeered the hotel swimming pool and we managed somehow not to have had the police summoned. Whew. Close call. I also recall another time when a whole bunch of friends and I up in Massachusetts (we were all teaching summer school up at Cushing Academy) went to some river I can't recall the name of now. It was the strangest thing, a weird twist on Joseph Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness' -- the further down the river one ventured it seemed the more 'decadent' or promiscuous the activity became. Anyway, according to yet another Travel Survey, people ranked access to nudist recreation higher than golf or tennis in seeking out a vacation spot. Here are ten locations that John Kinman, president of the American Association for Nude Recreation recommended to USA Today as the top clothing-optional beaches to enjoy.
