Game Classics -- 3M Bookshelf Games

I played a lot of games as a kid with my family and friends, and enjoyed many of the games produced by 3M from 1962 through 1976, when 3M -- better known for inventing Scotch tape and post-it notes than games -- sold its games line. In addition to the bookshelf series, which this quiz is about, 3M also produced a series of sports games that included one of my all time favorites, Win, Place and Show, and the gamette series -- mostly card games and all packaged in 5" by 7" boxes. Several of the gamette card games were adapted from bookshelf game titles.
3M promotional material for the bookshelf series declared, "bookcase games, packaged in attractive leather-like slipcases, make a handsome set of volumes for any bookshelf". They did, indeed, come in cool packages, but the best of them also provided many hours of mental exercise and entertainment.
For most of the questions in this quiz, you are asked to identify the name of the 3M bookshelf game that is described. The picture that introduces this quiz features the 3M bookshelf game which is the correct answer to question 5.
