A Brief Visit to the Presidential Libraries
![]() |
When the US Congress passed the Presidential Libraries Act in 1955, it regularized the procedures for privately built and federally maintained libraries to preserve the papers of Presidents. As of 2007, there are 12 Presidential libraries maintained by the National Archives and Records Administration, chock full of history, memories and a wide array of exhibits. See if you can identify the presidents, events in their lives and landmarks in their presidencies. The Kennedy Library is pictured. Source: National Archives and Records Administration website
