Who was Marjory (or Marjorie) Fleming? Well, if you take this quiz you'll find out! She was said to be Sir Walter Scott's favourite poet, but whether that is true or not, Marjory is worth getting to know. Robert Louis Stevenson wrote that Marjorie Fleming "was possibly - no, I take back possibly - she was one of the noblest works of God." The quiz attempts to introduce you to Marjory through quotations from her writings. I have tried to reproduce Marjory's spelling and punctuation. The questions are about topics that arise in this account of Marjory's life and work. My sources for this quiz are the facsimile edition of Marjory's manuscripts, published in 1934; "The Complete Marjory Fleming" by F.Sidgwick, published in the same year; and Dr John Borwn's "Pet Marjorie", first published in 1863.
