The only war ever fought by Americans on American soil was The American Civil War, also known as the War Between the States. Three million fighters were involved and 600,000 died, making it the greatest war in American history. In some areas of the south, the war is still being quietly fought. Emotions die hard and do not change easily. Check out some of the facts below and see how much detail you know about this infamous period in our country's history.
