A trip around the United States: a new word game

|I'm going to give you a journey, with a starting point, a destination, and one or two stops. All you have to do is to take the two-letter state abbreviations in the right order, and you will make a word. So for example|
From Indianapolis via Shreveport to Bismarck would give you IN LA ND.
There will be no traps - if I give you a city it will be the famous one, not Sacramento, Rhode Island! Start with the start point, end with the final destination, and take the stopping point(s) in the middle in the order given.
