Afterlife of Those Perfect 1972 Miami Dolphins

|Every football season, although it has been denied by some of the surviving players, the members of the 1972 Miami Dolphins reportedly gather together and drink champagne when the final undefeated team loses its first game. Some rumors say that they send a case of champagne to the team that defeats the last-standing undefeated team of each season. Those 1972 Dolphins hold the distinction of being the only undefeated team of any season since the Super Bowl emerged as the crowning achievement in professional football. Truth of the matter is, one other team throughout the NFL's history has had an undefeated championship-winning season: The 1948 Cleveland Browns. But the Super Bowl hadn't been invented yet. There wasn't even an AFL Division to have a Super Bowl against. The closest any team has come since were of course last year's New England Patriots, who actually won more consecutive games then those Dolphins due to a longer regular season (16 games compared to 14 in 1972) but the Patriots' quest for perfection was upended by the mighty New York Giants who came into their own late in the season. |
Whatever became of the members of that 1972 Miami Dolphin team? Find out here in this quiz what many of the key members of that squad did in the years after reaching the mountaintop.
And please rate this quiz a perfect score if you don't mind afterward. LOL.
