Alfred Hitchcock Master of the Thriller

|Born in England August 13th 1899. An extremely talented writer and director. Alfred Hitchcock was the acknowledged master of the thriller genre. His first completed film as director was "The Pleasure Garden" in 1925. From there his career took off spanning many decades. With films such as "The Lodger" 1926(his breakthrough film), "The 39 Steps" 1935, "Rebecca" 1940, "Dial M for Murder" 1954, "Psycho" 1960 and "Family Plot" 1976(his final film) to mention a few.In 1978 his talent was truly recognised when he was awarded The American Film Institutes Life Time Achievement Award. Sadly Hitchcock only lived another two years after. He passed away on April 28th 1980 from liver failure and heart problems. To quote the man himself|
