Don McLean's classic song, American Pie, contains in its lyrics many references to the history of music in the 1950s and 1960s. There has never been a definitive work published that explains all the references, so there is a lot of conjecture. I'll use some of that conjecture in this quiz, and ask questions around some of the events mentioned. In this quiz, I'll be referring just to the single version of the song and not the complete version found on the album. If you like it, and think its interesting,I'll do one for the second half too.
