An introduction to ......... England

OK - I'm a geography (and map, etc.) enthusiast -read 'fanatic'! One of my greatest joys is to visit a new area - and, beforehand, to get out those maps and to thoroughly learn up. The satisfaction in knowing the basics, at least, of an area that was previously a blank map is enormous. If you think I'm some sort of freak, then go off to another quiz! If you share this excitement, read on ... The intention of this quiz - a series, even, if enough click on - is to give you that same thrill. If you already know something of the country selected, then just treat it as a normal quiz, and have a go. If you're not over-aware, then cheat! Get a map out (or Google!), have it by you when answering. The whole point of this quiz is never to trick you, but to give you that same thrill of discovery, and for you to score 100%. If you end this short time knowing more - mission accomplished! Enjoy ...... This first "An introduction to ..." is to England. Simply because, although it's one of the better-known nations, it's surprising how little is realised by many non-Brits. Or, indeed, maybe even just non-English ... do you know the difference? ... here we go! ......
