The Mediastinum, divides the chest into right and left parts and consists of the heart and great vessels. The Diaphragm divides the thoracic and abd cavities.

Another fallacy. The mediastinum is a portion of the thoracic cavity which is further subdivided into
the anterior, posterior, superior and inferior sections. The sheet-like muscle of the mediastinum
separates the thoracic and abdominal cavities. Look up hiatal hernia and you'll see

i think the answer to number nine is in error....it is the diaphragm....your mediastinum is defined by wikipedia as the folowing: The mediastinum is a non-delineated group of structures in the thorax (chest), surrounded by loose connective tissue. It is the central compartment of the thoracic cavity. It contains the heart, the great vessels of the heart, esophagus, trachea, phrenic nerve, cardiac nerve, thoracic duct, thymus, and lymph nodes of the central chest
