Aptronyms #2
![]() |
According to that fabulous source (that we have all come to know and love) Wikipedia, the word "aptronyms" was coined by Franklin P. Adams. His definition was that the person's name was definitely suited especially for them because of their occupation. As an example, Miss Cashdollar was the treasurer for a school. All of the names that I give you will be real people. I will give you an occupation, and you will merely have to choose the correct name from the list. Some of these I have known for ages; others I gleaned from e-mails. You can google "aptronyms" and come up with hundreds of them. Needless to say, it is not exactly an original quiz, but I am hoping that you will have a few chuckles. Had I been some of these people, I would have changed my name!
