|This puzzle will give you a clue – rather like a crossword puzzle. Each clue will consists of two parts; the answer, an MLB team will be scrambled as an anagram in the middle of the clue – which will also consist of one or more hints to the city or state in which the team is located, together with an indication of the length of the word. So|
“The firMEST apples are found in this empire” (4)
would be a clue to the Mets – the references to Apple and Empire suggesting New York. All you have to do is solve the anagram – and then give the name of the manager of the team from the five choicesoffered. Thus Willie Randolph would be the right answer here.
