Birthdays in the 1950s

|Way back in the dark ages of the 1950s (yup, some of us were alive then) there was a tradition of giving your good friends ribbon corsages for their birthdays. Attached to the ribbon was a symbol for the friend's age. Somehow we all seemed to know what item stood for what age. You not only affixed the item to the bow itself, but ran streamers down from the bow with more of those items hanging down.|
See if you can figure out what item was glued to the ribbon for what age. Some of them make sense - some of them don't!
Of course, only girls did this. Can you see a guy walking around with a birthday corsage?! LOL And, I don't know how wide-spread this tradition was. I live in the Northeast US. Enjoy the 1950s as I remember them!!
