|Welcome to the "Famous Infamous Folks" challenge quizzes. |
(This is the third of a 'community quiz' game started by previous quizzes featuring "Ancient Treasures" and 'Natural Wonders of the World').
Quiz authors who chose to take part in this game have all created quizzes with "Famous Infamous Folks" in the title. No one knew what the others would come up with, so it is a game for both authors and quiz takers. You can find all of them in the special category now created titled 'Community Quizzes'. You are encouraged to take all of the quizzes in this group, compare them, rate them and send comments to the authors.
I chose an outlaw folk hero who is known to every Australian, and the defiant iconic hero of every person who ever fought against injustice and unfair laws. He was a bushranger.. the very word brought fear to rich travellers and wealthy landowners, but the poor knew this man would always be on their side to help them.
He was infamous for the laws he broke, for the robberies he committed, and for the trouble he gave the law whilst trying to capture him.
He was famous for the suit of heavy armor he made for himself to prevent being struck down by police bullets. That armor is on display in the town where he last lived: Glenrowan.
May I present………Ned Kelly.
