Caution--You may be Caught by This Webb

If you've listened to songs by singers such as Linda Ronstadt, Glen Campbell, Reba McEntire, R.E.M., Amy Grant, Ringo Starr, or Tony Bennett, chances are you have heard songs by Jimmy Webb. An incredibly gifted individual, Webb is the only person to have received Grammy awards for lyrics, music, AND orchestration. Songs such as "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," "MacArthur Park," "Up, Up and Away," and "Wichita Lineman" were written by Webb. He has written songs for many other projects, including movies and television shows, as well. Although Webb has performed many of his own songs, those which are sung by others are the ones that have become popular.

For some of you, this will be an opportunity to remember some wonderful songs. For others, this will be a chance to learn something new and perhaps will inspire you to listen to some of these songs yourself. Although many details are provided, I have tried to keep the questions themselves simple and easy.
