![]() |
The periodical table that displays the chemical elements was invented by Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869. It is now recognized as a major working tool within the scientific community. It provides an extremely useful framework to classify, systematize and compare all of the many different forms of chemical behaviour. The table has also found application in physics, biology, chemical engineering and even in quiz writing. The current standard table contains 117 elements as of July, 2009. Let’s check what you know about the elements of the periodic table, their use, their history and so on. The picture depicted a gold nugget. Hopefully you will get one at the end of the quiz. Enjoy!
