|When classic works are adapted for the screen, something crucial is generally lost in the translation. Some adaptations are faithful and extraordinary, while others are so awful that you can almost hear the original author rolling over in his/her grave as you sit in the theater.|
For the purposes of this quiz, I channeled my inner Hollywood slimeball and created some truly awful pitches for screen adaptations of classic novels, stories and plays. All you have to do is identify the author whose work is being so unforgivably defiled.
