Classic Rock Songs That Will Live Forever
![]() |
I've done two previous quizzes along the same vein as this one. One was on classic movies and the other on classic country songs. This time I've chosen classic rock songs and they range from the 50s up through the 70s. All are considered classics (and some are true oldies). If you like these songs, which were some of the roots of rock and roll, then you should have some fun with this quiz. I'll describe the song, maybe even name the artist who recorded it and you come up with the song. It's easy if you like music as much as I do! So, have some fun and sing along with these rock and roll classics!

As far as #3 is concerned, I guess you'd have to ask specifically which country the #1 hit came out by the Beatles. The 1st #1 hit was actually, "From me to You" May 2nd 1963 which was #1 for 7 weeks, then came, "She Loves You" Sept 12 1963 for 6 weeks then came your answer, "I Want to Hold Your Hand" Dec. 12th 1963 for 5 weeks at #1. But, in the UK the 1st #1 Beatle hit was, "Please Please Me. Also, I personally would not consider, "Dream Lover" as a classic rock song. That song is more like a balad to me. Pretty fun quiz though, thanks!!
Great quiz. FYI, the correct spelling for the Old Time Rock & Roller is Seger. In music circles it's Pete Seeger, but Bob Seger. Thanks.
