Classic TV Detectives

One of my favourite TV genres is the detective story - I don't mind if they're private dicks, police officers or accidental amateurs, I enjoy (almost) all of them! For this quiz, I'm definining 'classic' as shows that (as far as I know) are no longer being made - but look out for the modern ones at a later date! Questions are not short (please do not take this quiz if you dislike long questions!) and information mostly from my memory, with internet research to check some of the facts - and don't forget I'm British when you start!

I'm 48 & had to guess at all
This was quite interesting. Definitely not for the speed freaks that barely take time to read the answers let alone the questions.
