Crazy Legs Conti is the 11th ranked competitive food eater worldwide. He lives in New York City's East Village, and in his kitchen he has installed a hot dog grill just as a real athlete might have had a gymnasium installed in his or her home. This is where he trains. "The secret is mind over stomach matter. Your stomach can get full, but your mind never can." That is competitive food eating mantra as he trains for what is perhaps the most famous canvass for competitive eaters: Nathan's National Hot Dog Eating Contest, held every Fourth of July at New York's Coney Island. Here's a quiz that will offer some some fascinating facts about competitve food-eating: its history, various records that are held for various foods, and a wee bit of the science involved.
