Comprehensive Online Abbreviations Quiz #6 (G) There are many abbreviations or acronyms which are used quite commonly on the internet. For example, LOL stands for 'laugh out loud.' Other abbreviations are not as well known. For example, 1AB stands for 'wannabe' (one - A - B). Many of these started on bulletin boards and instant messaging systems in order to save time & typing. This series of quizzes looks at a lot of these typing time savers. It will only list abbreviations which are appropriate for all age groups. Even if you are not familiar with these shortcuts, you might want to take the quiz to learn a few. I'll give you the the abbreviation, you decide what it means. Note: Internet abbreviations are not always the same as real world ones. For example, 'atm' does not always mean automatic teller machine.
