The British Invasion brought new vitality to the American Rock and Roll scene through songs written by artists such as John Lennon and Paul McCartney. In many ways, however, this "invasion" was first inspired by US singers such as the Everly Brothers, Buddy Holly, and Roy Orbison, who had toured the British Isles. This quiz will focus on songs which were originally recorded in the US by American singers, but which were covered by singers and/or groups classified as being part of the British Invasion, often with even better success than the originals.

I hope this quiz brings you pleasant memories and possibly some information that you had not heard before. Warning: if you love short, quick answers, try some of my Kerblunks and pass this one by. It takes time and words to build a quiz with this much history. If you're still interested, enjoy!
