In Greek mythology the sirens were three beautiful but extremely dangerous women who possessed haunting, melodic voices. Leonardo da Vinci wrote that “The siren sings so sweetly that she lulls the mariners to sleep; then she climbs upon the ships and kills the sleeping mariners.” In the cinema, a cult siren is an irresistible seductress tempting her prey with sensual but destructive situations. If you ask me, those sirens sound like a good thing, er,z-z-z-z, huh? On the silver screen, that is. Be careful guys... don’t get too close - they can hurt you.
