This quiz has received an Editor's Award for excellent content. Only the most unique and well written quizzes are eligible for this award.

DeadAuthorsWhoRecentlyHadNewBooksPublished Photo A wave of books have been published recently by writers who are dead, some of them recently, others for longer. The phenomenon has raised the question of how best to handle unfinished work by authors who left these manuscripts behind.

Good Luck on this quiz, and please rate it afterward if you have a chance. And in case the quiz isn't finished someone please write in a final question and launch it for me.

I'm a publisher, but this was too obscure for me!

How did I get any of these questions correct? Amazing construction of a quiz.

Hey Bill, this one's a masterpiece! Yes, it was hard (I thoroughly agree with the other takers who proclaimed this) but utterly fascinating! I knew it would be difficult when I saw that the highest score was 60, so I'm quite thrilled to have gotten a 50!... especially considering I did not KNOW one answer... now that's some good guessing! (Though I must confess that another taker prompted me to give the answer Juneteenth when he mentioned it in his comments. I am always VERY careful to avoid giving away any answers to future takers.)
I saw this quiz on-line a few days ago when I did my TQOTD, but did not have time to take it. It was no longer listed on the recent quizzes or even the recent Editor's Awards, so I had to go to your directory page and put your quizzes in calendar order to find it. That's the first time I ever sought a particular quiz, but now I'm inspired to do ALL of your quizzes, one by one! Just give me a couple of years!
BTW, the alternate answers you provided were BRILLIANT! How do you come up with them? I think that's the hardest part of writing a quiz. You made them all so convincing, and so interesting. And so varied! I loved the one that gave both Las Vegas and IRS and three other totally unrelated topics.
Lastly, what the heck is that photo? It looks like a mummy in a casket. Did you photo-montage it or find it like that?
Keep up the good work!
