![]() |
Delving waaaaaay back to 1979 now: This is going back to my sophomore year in high school for me: what about YOU? It was the year of the nuclear power plant accident at Three Mile Island, Margaret Thatcher becomes the new prime minister of Great Britain, the cost of a US stamp was 15 cents, and the Median Household Income in the US was $16,461. At the movie theater, we were seeing “Apocalypse Now”, “Kramer vs. Kramer” and “Breaking Away”. In music, the 2 most popular songs of the year, according to Billboard magazine, were “My Sharona” by The Knack and “Bad Girls” by Donna Summer. Can you recall more of 1979’s top 40 hits? I’ll name the group or artist, and you’ll select their top 40 hit song that year. Good luck!
