Take yourself back to 1986: What were YOU doing that year? It was the year that the Space Shuttle Challenger disintegrates in the air after launching; IBM releases the first laptop computer; the nicotine patch was invented; the Soviet nuclear reactor at Chernobyl explodes; a gallon of gas drops to 89 cents and ”Top Gun” and “Karate Kid, Part II” were the big flick hits of the year. In music, “That’s What Friends Are For” by Dionne Warwick & Friends and “Say You, Say Me” by Lionel Ritchie were tops on the Hot 100 chart. So, what about the other hit tunes that year?
