Every Citizen a Soldier-The Home Front

taco24Taco24 on 05/07/2008

EveryCitizenaSoldierTheHomeFront Photo Total War was the phrase used in World War II used to describe a situation in which all of the nation’s resources, including civilians at home as well as soldiers in the field were mobilized for the war effort. It was with this in mind that governments created a variety of programs which involved the private sector. The World War II homefront was the most important and broadly participatory experiment in history. Innumerable citizens became masters of creativity and resourcefulness. Countless millions, already struggling to recover from the Great Depression, now found themselves to be masters of efficiency and conservation.
This quiz is designed to recall basic facts about the Homefront experience within the various European countries. As always, good luck!

I was surprised with my result there - some lucky guesses. I did
enjoy the questions and the info, and it was one of those that I
would have said deserved an editor's award because of
interesting info and the originality. Nice one.
