Tom Cruise is the best known of the American celebrity Scientologists, and too easy to use as an answer in this quiz, so I'm using his image to introduce it instead. The Church of Scientology has claimed 3.5 million members in the United States, but a City University of New York survey estimates the number to be closer to 55,000. Scientology is accorded the same treatment as other religions in most nations; however, some countries, most prominently, Germany, consider Scientology to be a dangerous cult and do not recognize it as a legitimate church with the same legal rights associated with that status. In any event, in this quiz you will be asked to identify American celebrity Scientologists -- mostly (but not exclusively) in the fields of acting or music -- from the information contained in each question.
