The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly referred to as the Mormon Church, depending on the source material, had a membership of 3.8 to 5.6 million in the United States in 2004. Mormons describe themselves as Christians, and the majority of self-described Christians accept this designation, although a significant minority of Christians do not regard Mormons as Christians. The faith was established in 1830 when Joseph Smith claims to have translated the "Book of Mormon" from gold plates to which the angel Moroni had led him. Unlike most Christians, Mormons regard the "Book of Mormon" as "another testament of Christ". This quiz covers living (as of May 25, 2008) famous and well known Mormons. Mormons included in this quiz come from several different fields, including writing, acting, music, and broadcasting. I have only included people that I could confirm were Mormons through multiple sources, and I have not included people born into the faith who no longer practice it. As a practicing Mormon myself, I found this wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I learned a lot taking this quiz. Very well done!!!
