Indeed, in the era of Isaac Newton, sciences were known as natural philosophy. Like mathematics, which is one of its branches, philosophy stretches the mind beyond itself in its use of principals and disciplines to reach an accurate conclusion. Question 6 is misleading. I can't see how that's a very salient aspect of empiricism.
