Father Ted. Classic Irish Sitcom

As this year is the tenth anniversary of the death of the great Irish comedy actor Dermot Morgan, here is a quiz based on the show that made him famous worldwide, Father Ted.

Father Ted was a popular 1990s sitcom set around the lives of three Catholic priests on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland. The show was written by Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews who contrary to rumours did not originally pitch the series to the Irish network RTE but rather offered it to Channel 4 in the UK, even though it was preformed largely by an Irish cast and crew. The show ran for 3 series and they also produced a Christmas special.

Dermot Morgan died a week after filming for the third series had finished at the age of 45 from a heart attack and is a great loss to both stage and screen. here in British Isles. But we can still enjoy his greatest character as it is still being broadcast on Irish and UK tv as well as BBC America in the states. Anyway enjoy the quiz.
