|This quiz is not to be deemed offensive; rather the quiz is a dichotomy of patriotism and a recurring theme every American ethnic group sometimes perceives as the double consciousness or double standard faced at some point in their history. I hope you enjoy the trivia. It is rather long; so if you in for instant gratification, this is not the quiz for you.|
Frederick Douglass is one of many famous African Americans. He was a husband, parent, author, orator, women's suffragist, editor, author, statesman, a preacher for the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church and a patriot.
Frederick Douglass was a dynamic force in the anti-slavery movement. He backed Abraham Lincoln's presidential bid. Not only was Frederick Douglass a friend to Abraham Lincoln he also had other prominent abolitionists such as William Lloyd Garrison, Wendell Phillips, John Brown and female suffragists as friends.
