Find a Hidden Flower in Each Sentence (part 1)
Billkozy on 01/04/2010
|Here's the first quiz in the newest series of my hidden word puzzles; this time the hidden words are all flowers! I hope you've enjoyed the previous quizzes with themes such as World Capitals, U.S. Presidents, Colors, Movie and TV Horses, Best Picture Oscar, U.S. States, and Dog Breed. |
In the meantime, the gimmick here is easy: Each question will be a simple sentence that has a color in plain sight within it. For instance, in the sentence "The writer wrote in prose" the hidden flower is ROSE:
"The writer wrote in pROSE"
Easy right? But in order to avoid listing the answer in the multiple choices, I will list an easy fact or clue about the flower. One and only one of those facts or clues about the flower will apply to the flower that is hidden in the sentence. Otherwise there'd be no challenge to simply looking at the multiple choices and matching which one is obviously in the sentence.
So for instance, in the example, "The writer wrote in prose," the mulitple choices might be:
“A college Bowl game”
"A college math course"
"A sports car"
"A kind of reptile"
"An anagram of the word RATES"
You would choose the answer "A college bowl game" because it best matches "Rose" as in The Rose Bowl.
Good Luck, I hope this quiz style grows on you, and Please don't forget to rate the quiz! Thanks!
