"There's been a lot in the media lately about 'superfoods' those edible substances that have incredible health benefits. According to Joe Schwarcz, Ph.D., author of "An Apple a Day: The Myths, Misconceptions, and Truths about the Foods We Eat", there are "no 'superfoods' to worship".
While eating one particular kind or several kinds of foods won't produce a miracle, there is still a lot of evidence that points to incorporating certain foods into your diet in order to reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer. Let's add them to our grocery list from now on!
