Fried Eggs with Chopsticks

Although China has been open to foreigners for many years as a 'Laowai' it is very difficult to travel around. Things that westerners take for granted such as transport, toilets etc in their countries are appreciated much more after a trip to China! I recently visited China to meet my daughter-in-law's parents and although I had some great experiences I was ever so pleased to get on that plane to go back home! I wish I had read "Fried Eggs with Chopsticks" before I visited because maybe it would have prepared me for some of the things I was to encounter. I think this author and I visited exactly the same places! This quiz is about China, its culture, its little idiosyncrasies and I hope you have a whole lot of fun doing it!

I've always found it amusing when people visit a country for a short time and form opinions based on inexperience.
My daughter said that, besides the toilets, the worst was seeing men slurp their noodles (Beijing food) then the next course, then the desert and finally drinking all out of the same bowl. And yet somehow I'd love to visit China someday. Halston
