From Depravity to Being Born Again

|The doctrine of “total depravity of man” is really a very controversial and unpopular doctrine to many, even among Christians, because it deals a heavy blow to our ego. As much as possible, we would like to believe that we are born good and have great capacity for righteousness. But are we born depraved (sinful)? Jeremiah 17:9 states “the heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” and Proverbs 14:12 says “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” If this is the case, should we rely on own understanding? What does God’s Word say about our spiritual condition?|
Initially, I was thinking of devoting the whole quiz to this doctrine, but realized that this would leave us feeling utterly hopeless, which is very much contrary to my objective. My objective is that those who took my Bible quizzes will not only enjoy them but also to feel blessed and edified. So, only the first half of the quiz will be devoted to the doctrine while the other half will be devoted to the gracious work of God in our hearts.
(Please forgive me for some long notes especially question No. 10. I found it difficult to shorten it without sacrificing its intended meaning.)
New International Version (NIV) of the Bible is used.
Just fill in the blanks and let’s praise God for His AMAZING WORK in us.
