If you were alive in the second half of the 1990s and enjoyed funk-folk-semi-a cappella-comedy rock, you probably enjoyed the hell out of Toronto's Moxy Fruvous. Moxy Fruvous were a highly democratically functioning quartet of talented singers, songwriters, comedians, activists and instrumentalists who developed a small-but-loyal Phish-like global following. These guys crafted songs like good "Simpsons" episodes: literate, heartfelt and hilarious, all at once. Do you remember the lyrics of Mike Ford, Dave Matheson, Murray Foster and Jian Ghomeshi?
