Great Folk Songs Of The 1960's

These are a few of the songs from the vast collection of folk songs. Many weren't written during the '60's, but they were popular during the '60's. Folk music transcends the time in which it was written because the themes are frequently as pertinent today as they were 50 years ago. Some of them are very familiar, some are more obscure. I will give you a few lines from the lyrics, you give me the name of the song. Please keep in mind that some of these songs are NOT politically correct! Don't be offended, they weren't meant to be! LOL...looks like the Googlers had a field day with this one! Fun quiz, but as stated before, some of these songs originated earlier....hard to label as 60s...imho

Interesting! I used to sing Cruel War & I never saw that particular verse; ditto with This Land is Your Land.... good job!
