You could say that the tenor sax is the workhorse of jazz. It's almost omnipresent throughout the history of jazz, in big bands and small combos. Tenor players and the music itself have grown and evolved right alongside each other. You're invited to identify twelve of the best jazz tenor players in this quiz. As always, I've consulted a number of resources, including Wikipedia and Leonard Feather's "Encyclopedia of Jazz." I hope you find it fun and informative.

I feel like I just read a novel in five minutes.
I think I just read a book. Still, a lot of great info on some real masters.
