Idioms Derived from Baseball Slang/Terms
![]() |
Baseball has had a huge impact on American English. The idioms themselves actually have nothing to do with the game of baseball. They are widely used in the US even by folks who know very little about the actual game-that would be ME!! ENJOY! (The meaning I have given for the idiom is often not the only meaning-have tried to include no other of these possible meanings amidst incorrect choices) My sources for the actual baseball terms come from the internet. Don't know at what point in my life or where I learned the meaning of the idiom - just know.
