I grew up in an orchard and dairy farm community northwest of Rochester, New York, which city considers itself the "Lilac Capital of the World." To some, Rochester sounds like a ho-hum place, but it has lots of things to see and do. Help me pack the van and then come along with me to poke around Rochester and eat some regional foods. (I KNEW you'd like that part!) We'll even stop in to visit my mom and have some of her delicious home-baked vanilla-frosted cinnamon-raisin rolls. Fasten your seat belt! Here we go!
