For all its pervasiveness, English can be one wacky language. This quiz will describe and give examples of strange phenomena that occur in English, and you have to select the word for the phenomena. Look at the two images on the left. The first question deals with them. Many thanks to funwithwords.com for background information and a couple noncopyrighted sites (credited within individual questions) for examples in the public domain. Enjoy!
