ITV3 Crime Thriller Awards: Colin Dexter
![]() |
UK TV channel ITV3 shortlisted six top crime writers for its inaugural 'Crime Thriller Award' for the best contemporary author in this genre. The shortlisted authors were Lynda La Plante, Ian Rankin, Ruth Rendell, Colin Dexter, Val McDermid and P D James. Since this is one of my favorite genres, I thought I would do a quiz on each, too! Feel free to PM me (or Google) if you'd like to know who won, by the way. Questions are not short (please do not take this quiz if you dislike long questions!), and info from Wikipedia, the authors' own websites and a selection of book/bibliography sites.

Wonderful quiz. Morse was one of my favorite British detective shows.
Morse is the best. I assumed Thames Valley police force was fictional! Great quiz.
