Starting in the 1920s, Americans began traveling the country's new concrete roads with their new automobiles in search of the perfect vacation. Almost immediately folks along the way figured out ways to separate these travelers from their money. Thus began the tradition of the roadside attraction. Step right up because here is a quiz about some of the most interesting and enduring attractions that have survived those early days and still thrive in the 21st century. Further information on all sorts of delightful roadside attractions and tourist spots can be found at Roadsideamerica.com. Top: This quiz will NOT talk about Carhenge outside of the great small town of Alliance, Nebraska, although it certainly impressed me when I drove past a couple of years ago. When you hit town, just turn at the Dairy Queen and don't forget your camera. Its big old cousin might show up here, though. Good luck and happy trails to you!
