Welcome to the "Famous Infamous Folks" challenge quizzes. (This is the third of a 'community quiz' game started by previous quizzes featuring "Ancient Treasures" and 'Natural Wonders of the World'). Quiz authors who chose to take part in this game have all created quizzes with "Famous Infamous Folks" in the title. No one knew what the others would come up with, so it is a game for both authors and quiz takers. You can find all of them in the special category now created titled 'Community Quizzes'. You are encouraged to take all of the quizzes in this group, compare them, rate them and send comments to the authors. Without villains and bad guys in literature, stories would just not be very exciting. How would we find out just how smart Sherlock Holmes is without Mr. Moriarty, or how clever and brave Odysseus is without Polyphemus? This quiz is about famous infamous folks from literature. Characters selected are from classic world literature works. I tried to pick well-known characters, but made the quiz a bit more challenging by not giving you the author or name of the work, although I added the year the work was published. See if you can identify the infamous character from a brief description of their not-so-nice activities.
