Lodi's Hometown

Welcome to the January CQ, a game for quiz takers and makers. (I would never put the above statement in a quiz. The PTB made me do it) I was born and raised in a small town in Idaho by the name of Orofino. Orofino has a population of approximately 3500 people and was the kind of place where everyone knew everybody else’s business. If you did something wrong, your parents already knew by the time you got home. There weren’t a lot of opportunities for small town kids, unless you loved the water, the outdoors, and played sports. We used to have a stoplight in town, but it broke and the city couldn’t afford a new one, so now a four way stop sits in its place. Its just not the same. Although I’m glad I am raising my children in a place where they have plenty of opportunities, I still take them back frequently so they will love the water, the mountains, and the quaintness of my little hometown. Where else can you take off on your horse, and ride it barefoot and bareback right down the middle of main Street? I have traveled many places in my life, but there is no vacation for me better than camping in the mountains and fly fishing the rivers for wild cutthroat trout. I call it the Church of Lori.
