London's Famous Tower
Bradd on 05/11/2008
|The Tower of London encompasses 18 acres and has more than twenty towers. With its two concentric curtain walls and a moat, it still appears as a formidable fortress. Originally designed to be a residential royal palace and to intimidate the citizens of London, it has also been a menagerie, a mint, a state prison, an armoury, and a repository for the Crown Jewels. A World Heritage site, it is one of the most visited historic monuments in the world.|
