A sitcom is based on a formula. There are recurring characters who usually have no memory of people or events from prior episodes. Sometimes a guest star will appear occasionally as an uncle, aunt, cousin, or whatever. There is resolution within each episode. As of 2006, "Friends" deviates from this formula. The characters develop relationships and 2 or 3 story lines may run simultaneously. The last series episode most likely "will keep you guessing" until the next season. The title space did not allow me to add this, but the last 3 questions are about the stereotypical "Lovable Loser". I well give you the name and you choose the sitcom. My source was Wikipedia.
